Sr. Vice President, Partner, Clinic DirectorGus graduated from the Louisiana State University, School of Allied Health, in 1986. Eight years later, he completed the Gulf Coast Graduate Institute of Manual Therapy Residency Program, focusing on advanced evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions with the use of mobilization and manipulative techniques. After completing the 18-month program, Gus received certification as a Level 2 Manual Therapist. He has earned the prestigious Fellowship status in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, and received his Orthopedic Certified Specialization distinction in 1994, with recertifications in 2004, and then again in 2014. In 2010, Gus received his DPT from the Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he has treated a variety of high school, collegiate and professional athletes. He has used Astym® treatment since 2001 on a wide variety of orthopedic patients and has been a national instructor for this treatment since 2003. Gus has completed level I and II training in Intramuscular Manual Therapy (IMT) or Dry Needling through Kinetacore, in addition to Kinesiology Taping and is an Active Release Technique practitioner for the upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine. Dr. Gutierrez has enjoyed working with athletes and athletic trainers over his career and currently serves as the team therapist for a number of high schools as well as an LSU Track and Field physical therapist. He has been practicing physical therapy with BRPT-Lake since 1986.

Mr. Demsky is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Studies from Millsaps College in 2013, and his Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from Our Lady of the Lake College in 2016. He joined Baton Rouge Physical Therapy Lake in 2016.
Mr. Demsky also received his ASTYM Certification in March 2022.

Renee Martin PT

Renee Martin PT
Renee Martin earned her Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University’s Health Services Center in New Orleans. Prior to that, Renee obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Renee specializes in ASTYM and ART and has performed functional capacity evaluations and pre-placement screens in the past. She is most interested in treating orthopedic injuries, fall and balance impairments and the geriatric population.
In her free time, Renee enjoys spending time her her husband and five children.

Sadie specializes in Astym, ART, and is working towards completing Manual Therapy Certification. She is most interested in treating orthopedic injuries, neck/back pain, and gait/balance impairments.

Tom Weber earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Evidence In Motion Physical Therapy Institute. He also earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Prior to that, Tom obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University.
Tom is Board Certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is most interested in treating headaches.
In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and four children including attending their marching band, track, soccer, and dance events.

J’olee Parr earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from Louisiana State University’s Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Prior to that, J’olee obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University.
J’olee is most interested in treating orthopedic injuries and gait/balance dysfunction.
In her free time, J’olee enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, working out, and traveling.

Emma Goldman earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from LSUHSC-Shreveport. Prior to that, Emma obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from LSU.

In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, playing with her dog (Winnie), and spending time with friends and family.

When you start physical therapy at the Gonzales clinic, we make sure that there is a staff member there to help you with every step.
